The Brackenridge Park Conservancy will help secure long-lasting financial, institutional, and community support for the park's preservation, enhancement and maintenance. The Conservancy seeks to ensure the best possible user experience for future generations.
Fundraising and Events Committee
The Fundraising and Events Committee organizes Conservancy events and works on fundraising initiatives.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee manages the business affairs of the Conservancy and oversees the operations of the board.
Education and Outreach Committee
The Education Committee serves as the coordinator for BPC educational programming within Brackenridge Park and prioritizes BPC educational initiatives. This committee will also partner with educational departments of all cultural institutions in and around the park, as well as with other entities.
Natural Environment Committee
The Natural Environment Committee strives to develop a continual biological inventory (flora and fauna and aquatic) for education, maintenance, restoration and preservation purposes. This committee will also explore the protection, restoration and revitalization of native species and support the removal of exotics/invasive species.
Built Environment Committee
The Built Environment Committee will create and maintain a historical database of the existing structures and public artwork throughout the park. The goal of this committee is to develop and facilitate programs that enhance and promote sustainable practices in the park, and to monitor and participate in dialogues between COSA entities and other park stakeholders in regard to park expansion and development.
