Basura Bash

Feb 17 2024

This is the first year that Brackenridge Park Conservancy is a partner with the non-profit, River Aid San Antonio, to participate in Basura Bash. Now in its 29th year, Basura Bash is a community river-cleaning event. This is especially helpful after recent rains.

If you would like to help clean-up in Brackenridge Park, please contact Audrey Schneider Medina at asmedina@brackenridgepark.org.

Volunteers are required to complete a Liability Form. Please click here to download. We will also have forms available at the BPC Registration / Check-in tent.

Registration/Check-in: 8am-8:30am

Meet outside the Joske Pavilion adjacent to the BPC Headquarters (531 Brackenridge Way, San Antonio, TX 78212)

Waterways Cleanup: 8:30am-11:00am

We are proud to announce this year's Basura Bash collected 38.28 tons (76,560lbs) of trash from San Antonio's waterways. Brackenridge Park contributed over two miles of the clean-up and we are proud to have been a part of it!
