Birdwatchers have long known that Brackenridge Park is a great place to see migrant passerines, red-shouldered hawk, golden-fronted and ladder-backed woodpeckers, white-winged doves, wood ducks, yellow-crowned night-herons, carolina wrens, green herons, black-crested titmouses, carolina chickadees, and a variety of open field birds.
