A Bird Watcher’s Paradise:
Birdwatchers have long known that Brackenridge Park is a great place to see migrant passerines, red-shouldered hawk, golden-fronted and ladder-backed woodpeckers, white-winged doves, wood ducks, yellow-crowned night-herons, carolina wrens, green herons, black-crested titmouses, carolina chickadees, and a variety of open field birds. Birdwatchers who visit the park will find the area along Avenue A (on the southeast side of the park) particularly enjoyable, as this area is well known for this hobby.
